Enter the account name and bank account number you want customers to use.
A free, easy way to give someone your bank details without making them type a long account number. Create a QR code they can scan to see your payment details.
Free · No sign-up · No email required
Enter the account name and bank account number you want customers to use.
We create an A4 PDF with your QR code and the account details printed underneath it.
The QR code opens a simple page where each detail can be copied with one tap.
Everything happens right here on the website. Enter your details, check they’re correct, and create your QR code and shareable page. There’s nothing to sign up for and nothing to wait for.
A short walkthrough video will go here.
No payment happens through this website. It simply helps you share the bank details you enter.
Download the A4 PDF, print it, and place it where customers can easily scan it.
We don't ask for your email address or require you to create an account.
Your bank details are used only to create your QR code and details page. We do not save them in a database or store them on our servers.
Your details stay within the link you create and are only shown when someone opens your link.
Someone could cover a printed QR code with a different QR sticker. The risk may be low, but it is still a risk. That is why your account name and number are also printed on the PDF. Customers should check the details shown on their phone match the printed sign before making a payment. Your safety matters to us.
A few useful things to know about Simple.
Simple was created by Keith Delmar, a digital guy from New Plymouth, New Zealand, who loves using technology to make people's lives a little easier.
While building Simple, I kept thinking:
One less frustrating moment doesn't sound like much. But add up thousands of those little moments and, hopefully, I've made the world just a tiny bit more chilled.
So why is it free?
Because I can make it free.
I care deeply about my fellow humans, and this is one small way I can use the things I enjoy — technology, problem-solving and making things simpler — to share a little of that love.
That's really it.
Yes. Simple is totally free to use.
No. There’s no account to create, no login and no email address required. Just enter your details and create your page.
No. We don't save your bank details in a database or store them on our servers. They are used to create your unique details link.
Your bank details are contained within your unique link (also known as a web address or URL).
When someone scans your QR code or clicks your link, the page reads the information in the link and displays the bank details you've chosen to share.
Your bank details aren't stored in a database on our website; they exist within the link you create.
Keep in mind: anyone who has your link or QR code can view those details, and the link can be copied or shared with others.
Just the information you want people to see when they scan your QR code — in this case, your account name and bank account number.
You'll get a QR code and a link to your details page. You can use the QR code on a sign, at a market stall, on an invoice or anywhere else you want to make your bank details easy to access.
No. Simple doesn't process payments or move money. It simply makes it easier for someone to see the bank details you've chosen to share. They still make the payment through their own bank.
Yes. Simple can be used by individuals, market stalls, small businesses, clubs, community groups and anyone else who needs an easy way to share bank transfer details.
Your QR code contains the link to your details page, so you can save or print it and use it again.
Always check your details carefully before creating or sharing your QR code. Simple can't verify that a bank account number belongs to you or that the details you've entered are correct.
If you accept bank transfers at a farmers market, stall, fundraiser or other in-person event, you need an easy way for customers to get your bank details.
You could write your account number on a sign, but that means customers need to manually type a long bank account number into their phone — and check they’ve entered it correctly.
There’s a simpler way.
With Simple, you can create a QR code for your bank account details. Put the QR code on your stall or counter and customers can scan it with their phone.
The QR code opens a shareable link containing your bank details, where your customer can tap to copy your account name and bank account number before switching to their banking app to make the transfer.
No EFTPOS terminal. No payment processing. And because Simple doesn't process the transaction, there are zero transaction fees from Simple.
It’s simply an easier way to accept bank transfers when you’re selling face-to-face.
A bank account QR code gives your customer a quick way to access the bank details they need to pay you.
Instead of displaying your full bank account number and asking customers to manually enter it, you can display a QR code.
With Simple, your customer:
Simple doesn't handle the money or process the transaction.
It just makes getting your bank details from your stall into your customer's banking app easier.
If you're selling something face-to-face, you want paying to be as straightforward as possible.
A QR code for your bank account means you don't have to read your bank details out, hand someone a piece of paper or ask them to type a long account number from a sign.
Your customer scans the QR code and gets the information they need on their own phone.
That makes a bank details QR code particularly useful for places like:
It can also be useful for artists, makers, growers, sole traders and small businesses that sell face-to-face and are happy to accept payment by bank transfer.
1. Enter your bank details
Enter the account name and bank account number you want customers to use. Make sure you check the details carefully.
2. Create your Simple link
Simple creates a shareable link containing your bank details. It also creates a QR code that opens that link.
3. Put your QR code where customers can see it
Print your QR code and display it somewhere easy to scan — on your stall, counter, table, price board or payment sign. When it's time to pay, your customer simply scans it with their phone.
4. Your customer copies your details
The customer opens the link and can tap to copy your account name and bank account number. They then switch to their own banking app and make the bank transfer as normal.
If you're running a farmers market or craft market stall, you may not want or need an EFTPOS terminal.
Perhaps most of your customers pay cash. Perhaps you're only at a few markets each year. Or perhaps you're simply happy accepting bank transfers.
A bank transfer QR code gives you another straightforward option.
Display the QR code at your stall and customers who want to pay by bank transfer can quickly access your details.
There's no special hardware required and Simple doesn't charge you every time someone uses your QR code.
There are zero transaction fees from Simple.
That's because Simple isn't processing the payment.
When your customer makes the payment, the money doesn't pass through Simple. They make a normal bank transfer from their bank account to the bank account you've provided.
Simple just makes your bank details easier to share.
So whether one person scans your QR code or 100 people do, Simple doesn't take a percentage of those payments or charge you a transaction fee.
Not quite.
Some payment QR codes connect to a payment processor or payment service that handles the transaction.
Simple doesn't.
Your Simple QR code gives your customer access to the bank details they need to make a normal bank transfer themselves.
That distinction is important.
Simple helps share the payment details. Your customer's bank handles the payment.
You might have been looking for a payment link, QR payment system or another way to accept payments without an EFTPOS terminal.
A traditional payment link often uses a payment processor to collect the payment on your behalf.
If you need to accept card payments online, that type of service may be appropriate.
But if you're selling face-to-face and are already happy for customers to pay you by bank transfer, you may not need a payment processor at all.
Simple gives you a shareable bank details link and QR code instead.
Your customer scans, gets your details and pays you through their normal banking app.
And because Simple isn't processing the transaction, there are no Simple transaction fees.
Yes.
Although Simple is particularly useful for sharing bank details in person using a QR code, the link itself can also be shared.
You could send your Simple link through a text message, email, Messenger or another messaging service.
When the person opens the link, they'll see the same bank details and tap-to-copy options as someone scanning your QR code.
In person: display the QR code.
Online: share the link.
Simple has been built with privacy in mind.
Your bank details are used to create your shareable link and QR code. We do not save them in a database or store them on our servers.
Your details are contained within the link you create and are shown when someone opens that link.
Anyone who has your Simple link can view the bank details contained in it, so only include information you're comfortable sharing for the purpose of receiving payments.
If you're happy accepting bank transfers, you don't necessarily need another payment system.
You might just need to make your bank details easier for customers to access.
Instead of displaying a long bank account number and asking customers to type it into their phone, give them something much easier:
Scan. Copy. Pay.
Simple gives you a free bank details QR code and shareable link that you can display at your stall.
No EFTPOS terminal required.
No payment processing by Simple.
Zero transaction fees from Simple.
Just a simpler way to share your bank details and get paid by bank transfer.
